New Holland has pictures and info posted on the TC30 now. I had spoke with some NH engineers this past summer @ Empire Farm Days and they both indicated a "rebadged" 1520. The pictures look like major changes and they are NICE!

It appears the operator station is less cluttered than JD790... another tit for tat. I attached the website info for you.

The JD 870, 970, and 1070 all use the same tandem pump assembly p/n AM877525 for main, p/n AM876753 for p/s.

Hello Kay. First, I�m assuming others will use some common sense and also to apply good judgement. If the implement has a 40 HP gearbox, you would use a Grade 2 bolt, even if you have a 50 PTO HP tractor. On the same token, I don�t believe anyone with a 70 PTO HP tractor would use a 513 rotary cutter. Normally you match the implement to the tractor. I provided this information as a guideline. Nothing is etched in concrete. The manufacturers/owners manual should have precedence over all else

I agree with the ease of use of any telescoping draft links. I have both telescoping on a couple tractors and a quick hitch on one tractor. I'd highly recommend buying the telescopic arms if they are available for your tractor versus any quick hitch assembly... and if they aren't available...well that's why God let someone invent the 6' pry bar and sledge hammer for all the others...

Ed, I hope you didn't pay too much of an "astronomical" price, considering it has MultiPower... The Perkins 203 Diesel is Great, lots and lots of torque. The MF65 is Great... However the MP is NOT. Hope you don't have Independent PTO, because your mowing plans may go down the tubes if/when the MP malfunctions. The MP/Independent hydraulic pumps are "internal", meaning you have to split the tractor to service and setup. When the MP works, it works very well... it's when it doesn't work... that is costly. I have the descendant of yours, the MF165. I have an extra set of original service manuals for your tractor, also operators manual, parts manual, electrical, etc. when you're ready to work on it. I do wish you the best, you have more hp than you'll know what to do with...Good Luck Ed.

John, I misread... The MF1250 is 33 Engine HP, 26.8 PTO HP, with 16/16 PowerShuttle trans, 25 PTO HP with Hydro, 3 cyl - 91.4 cid Iseki/Isuzu engine, 2746 lbs. 4WD. I linked the AGCO ST Compact Website and it appears they are identical except Massey Red and AGCO Orange.

290 hours is NOT demo... maybe Rental or Lease or Used {warranty never filed}, certainly NOT demo. The average user will put that on in 3 years of "working" the tractor...Check it out, have a friend call the shop requesting to "rent" a 30 PTO HP compact tractor for a month, and you'll get your answer. Somewhere around $15,800 you should be able to purchase a 4400 new, then go from there...The only advantage with this unit is "factory warranty".

Bolens was bought out by Troy-Built which still have parts availability. Bolens 2104 is 21 engine, 04 is 4WD {02 would be 2WD etc.} About 16-18 PTO HP, as another poster indicated, Iseki currently produces Massey Ferguson 1200 series, the new Agco compact series and joint with Landini on larger ag units. Three years ago, a friend purchase a "garage quality"/like new 2104 with about 8 - 10 implements in the deal {also like new condition} for $6K. It's been a "can do anything" tractor for performance... At $4-5K, I don't think you can hurt yourself, buy it, use it for a few years and probably still sell it for the same price? The Iseki has been a sleeper tractor...

A PTO driven Stump grinder is on my wish list as well. One of the "smallest" I've seen is for 35 PTO HP min. called the "Stumpbuster" and weighs about 1000 lbs. And did you say "cheap"...what does that word mean?

Check out the Massey Ferguson Compact 1200 series {Iseki} for sister units... I'm told Agco is doing what Iveco/Fiat/New Holland did with Case/IH...

Torque=(HP X 5252) / RPM. This gives you torque in Foot-lbs. Using 33,000 instead of 5252 is Torque in Inch-lbs... One of the reasons diesels have more torque and efficiency is because the energy developed from diesel fuel is much higher than gasoline. Using 1 gallon of diesel generates about 138,000 Btu. versus gasoline which is about 124,000 Btu.
